This policy explains how HSS Audio handles information for the SONAVECT macOS App Store app, this website, and support requests. Contact us at support@hssaudio.com or visit hssaudio.com.
SONAVECT app
The SONAVECT App Store app routes audio locally on your Mac. HSS Audio does not collect or receive your audio, personal information, or usage activity through the app. The app has no advertising or analytics tracking and does not require an HSS Audio account.
Audio passes between the audio source and output devices you choose. SONAVECT does not upload audio or save audio recordings. Any recording made in a separate DAW or software sampler is controlled by that application.
Local settings and permissions
The app stores preferences and routing status locally, including selected audio devices and listening settings. These are used to restore your choices and coordinate audio routing; they are not sent to HSS Audio. Local settings may remain until you remove the app’s stored data. Contact support for help removing those settings.
If you select a microphone or other protected audio input, macOS may ask for permission. You can stop routing in SONAVECT and revoke microphone access in macOS System Settings under Privacy & Security.
Support and diagnostics
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information or attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue. Diagnostics are not sent automatically: you can review and copy them before sharing. Please do not send passwords, payment details, or audio you do not want to share.
Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and related follow-up, and to meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@hssaudio.com. We may need to verify the request and retain information where required by law.
Website and service providers
Visiting hssaudio.com is separate from using the app. Our website hosting and security services may process technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site. WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and operate checkout. Our email service processes messages you send to support. These services handle information under their own privacy terms as well as the services they provide to us.
App Store purchases and Apple account information are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. Other websites and audio applications you choose to use have their own privacy practices.
Website accounts and orders
When you register on this website, we store your email address and account details to manage sign-in and your customer account. When checkout is available and you place an order, we store the information you provide, including your name, billing details, contact information, items ordered, and payment status. We use this information to fulfil orders, provide download access, send account and order emails, handle support and refunds, and keep necessary business records. Download access and download activity may also be recorded.
When offered at checkout, Stripe or PayPal processes your payment and receives the information needed to complete and protect the transaction, including order totals and billing information. Their privacy policies describe their handling of that information: Stripe and PayPal. We receive payment status and transaction references; full payment credentials are handled by the payment provider.
Customer account and order information is accessible to authorized store administrators and service providers needed to operate the store. We retain it as needed to provide your account, purchase history and download access, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Contact support@hssaudio.com to request access, correction, account closure or deletion; some transaction records may need to be retained. A website account is separate from the SONAVECT App Store app and is not required to use that app.
Checkout fraud protection
We use Google reCAPTCHA to help protect checkout from automated abuse. Google processes technical and interaction information needed to assess whether a request is legitimate. This service is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Your choices and updates
You can stop using the app, stop routing audio, change macOS permissions, and contact us about information you have sent us. This policy applies to the SONAVECT App Store app; a separately distributed version with additional online services would need its own disclosures. We will update this page when these practices change.
